I gave my blessing to David, taking him from humble beginnings where I was already preparing him before the search for a king because I had already chosen him. He lived under the roof of my skies, his eyes sharpened to the night and to great distances in the day. He protected the sheep from roving wolves, his arms strengthening that he could sling a stone to perfect aim, from one side and from the other. His legs strengthened in clamor over field and hill and rocky trail. He saw the wonder of my earth from the ants to the stars and knew how great his god.
My chosen king to whom I gave my blessing heard my voice as the sheep heard his. He turned his ear and knew whether to go this way or that. Mighty men of war were stirred to follow him for David heard my voice and my blessing was upon all who stood and fought with him.
Who is now my king? He is the King of kings. He was before the foundations of the earth, before the words that I spoke that created the heavens and the earth, and one who has always been without sin. Who stands with the King of kings? Don’t you know that my blessing is upon him and all who will stand with him and all who will fight with him. Don’t you know that the battles continue and I have given you all that you need to stand firm, to claim that ground that I have given you, to strive and take what is right, to wield the sword of truth that your enemies flee before you?
My blessing is upon you, my chosen, my adopted, and I give a blessing that stretches from the east and to the west, an eternal blessing that you are under the tent of the blessing I granted my chosen king. God’s Prophecy, The Daily Prophet
